Statistics
- 1,370 Youth will take an illegal drug in the next hour
- 57% of all illicit drugs are sold on school campuses
- An adolescent can become an alcoholic in 6 months
- In America, a teenage girl gets pregnant every 31 seconds;
of these 80% drop out of school, 70% go on welfare, 60%
divorce within 5 years and
- 60% get pregnant again within 2 years; 117 teenagers will
get pregnant in the next hour.
- Teen pregnancy costs taxpayers 7 Billion dollars annually
and 80% of fathers never marry!
- Girls 14-24 are the largest growing population of HIV
- 2 million kids run away annually, three times more than
a decade ago
- More than 5,000 teenagers die each year by suicide
Researchers have found that students have an attitude of
it’s a “privilege” to be here and were very
thankful for the chance they had to participate in the TC
program.
When a graduate was asked “why do those that come to
Teen Challenge do so well?’ They said, “He who
has been forgiven much, loves much.”
Another graduate said, “Teen Challenge taught me how
to keep God first-place in my life.”
